Helpful Tips

Before beginning, think about what information you are going to include. Your poster should answer questions about your work, so the poster “speaks” for you. You don’t want the attendees to have to work hard to understand it; you want the poster to be clear and succinct. It should be engaging, attractive, informative and easy for attendees to understand.

Be mindful of putting too much text on the poser. Your poster should include pictures, charts, figures and graphs – it should become a detailed outline of your presentation. The information should be presented in a logical manner.

Recommended Sections

The following sections are recommended as part of your poster. You may use some or all of the recommendations to organize your presentation.

  • Name of Poster
  • Purpose/Problem
  • Framework
  • Study Methods
  • Data Analytics
  • Findings/Results
  • Reference Literature
  • Conclusions
  • Acknowledgements
